Class Rewards
I am going to try to implement an Economic system in my classroom this year. Each week, kids earn (play) money for the following things:
* $5.00 for each week they show perfect behavior
* $5.00 for each week they complete all of their homework
* $5.00 for each week their desks and folders are organized
* A set amount for the weekly job they're assigned (click on the job payment chart below)
* A bonus $5.00 for doing ALL OF THE ABOVE!
This is an "all or nothing" system. If you miss a day of perfect behavior, you don't get paid. If you miss one day of your homework, you don't get paid. If you are caught with a messy desk or folder, you don't get paid. If you do EVERYTHING, you will earn a bonus $5.00.
On Fridays, students will fill out a receipt to get paid for what they've earned.
Bonus Bucks
Students may also earn "Bonus Bucks" during the week for special things. They can also win $1.00 for each question they complete in THE SUPERKID CLUB PAGE.
What can they use their bucks on?
The students can save up for things such as a class party, sit with a friend for the day, lunch with the teacher, indoor recess with a friend, a free homework pass, , skip the morning math problem, a good note home to parents, drink a pop in class, extra computer time, etc.
Responsibility....
This behavior system allows the students to learn how to take responsibility and to save for things that are important to them, instead of being given things for free. This should give the students more pride in their work and their behavior.
